Travis Kittleson Takes Sixth In First Pro Cup Outing of 2008Young Driver Wastes Little Time Getting Up to Speed with JCR3 Team at LakelandUsually it takes a little bit of time for a new combination of driver and race team to mesh with each other. After a few races, they might be competitive together, but even the best teams and most talented drivers typically have a learning curve.

Full Time Fun

Full-Time FunBy Paul WarnerWednesday, January 30, 2008 10:37:00 AM Travis Kittleson to pilot JCR3 Pro Cup machine in ‘08Myrtle Beach, S.C.-Travis Kittleson has done a lot of things other drivers dream about. He’s competed part-time in the Craftsman Truck and Busch Series over the last few years. But this year, Kittleson is going to get to do what he wants: competing full-time in the Hooters Pro Cup Series. I did those deals and ran a few races in those series last year, but I ain’t in this for the glory, said Kittleson. Racing full-time is more important to me. Challenging for a title is also important. And Kittleson believes that his new team, JCR3 Racing, is capable of that. I’ve been in the shop; they’ve got all the people and equipment to compete for the championship, said Kittleson. But they’ve also got the right attitude. I absolutely think that we should run up front and challenge for the title.

Atlanta

Atlanta race weekend started of a little slow but there was a glimmer of hope as we began to make little gains at a time. We didn't end the day just the way we wanted but we made gains. typically when we run the green light truck we aren't the quickest truck in practice or qualifying but the truck usually races well. As the race began it seemed like it was going to no different. We were making are way forward and had to avoid a wreck on the front stretch by doing so we had to go through the grass resulting in front end damage and possibly a toe problem. from that point on we were not near as good. Then I had a very bad vibration and had to come in under green losing a lap then I got caught speeding on pit entry losing another lap. At this point I am just trying to get the best finish by only racing the people on our lap and that we did. 28th is not where anyone wanted to finish but for the most part we brought the truck home in one piece and I have a little more experience on big tracks. I have to say thanks to Bob Howard and Randy Young for taking the weekend off to help me pursue my dreams it was a pleasure working with you guys its been a while, of course I can't forget the Steele family and Dad if it weren’t for them two it would not have even been possible. Stay tuned for details you know how this racing is everything is last minute.TK
